My Concept:

I focused on Bar Kockhva Street 4. In my project I wanted to express the movement, the flow, the complexity characterising dance in general and Ohad Naharin in particular.  I started from the existing envelope. I made it taller and inside the house I created a system of dynamic movement leading to closed spaces. The movement system as well as the closed spaces appear to be floating in space.

The main material I chose to work with was wood. This is because it has flow, movement, warmth and naturalness characterising Ohad Naharin.

Residential Design for Ground Breaking Figure- Ohad Naharin

Designing living spaces in Tel Aviv for ground breaking figures. My assignment was to design a space for Ohad Naharin, a dancer, choreographer, and the artistic director of the international dance company Bat Sheva. Ohad invented the dance language "Gaga", which connects the body and the spirit in a "primitive" manner.

Guiding concepts:

  • Order - freedom

  • Heavy - Light

  • Public - Private
